5 Things Every Man Should Do To Lose Weight Before Noon

You know the saying, the early bird catches the worm? This might be true when it is about losing weight.

This is partly related  to the way most of us are created: Early-morning sunlight causes us to be alert, energise and focused, and this makes it easier for individuals to take on habits that will help you reach weight-loss goals.

There’s also a psychological side: When you start off your day achieving  some of the things on your to-do list, you’re less likely to give up later in the day.

Men’s Health explains how making these five habits part of your morning routine can help shed the kilograms easily.

1. Oversleeping can help you lose weight

Of course, you don’t want to wake up so late that you are rushing to get dressed and make it to work on time. But giving yourself even an extra half-hour of snooze time can make a difference.

“Not feeling rested makes you more likely to eat throughout the day,” says Brittany Kohn, R.D., a nutritionist in New York City. Plus, studies suggest that consistent lack of sleep interferes with certain hormones, this is bad for your metabolism.

2. A high-protein breakfast 

Not only a healthy breakfast can give you the energy you need for the whole day, it can also leave you feeling satisfied so you would not be looking for junk food to fill your tummy.

A protein and carbohydrate combination (with a little fat thrown in) can make you feel full and helps support stable blood-sugar levels, says Kohn.

3. Exercising in the morning 

Are you one of those people who love to go for a run or do a workout DVD in the morning? Keep it up; it raise your metabolism, keeps cravings away, and makes you feel positive and accomplished.

Even if you are not a morning person, you can still gain the benefits. Even 10 minutes of cardio or yoga can get your blood flowing, your body moving, and your metabolism turned up—so it stays high all day, says Kohn.

4.Packing snacks for later 

If you have time, packing lunch is a good idea too. But this can take up more time than you have in the morning, so only pack a few healthy snacks.

Making bad snack choices during the day can ruin diets easily says Kohn. So it would be smart  to have a bag of almonds or apple slices with peanut butter with you  most of the time to help resist the urge to buy junk food from the nearby vending machines.

5. Walking to work will help you lose weight

Try parking your car in a lot blocks from your office, or try walking to work to get some exercise  rather than hopping on a bus or train.

The benefits: It’s just an alternative way to move around, burning a few calories and powering your metabolism. Besides, a recent study found that people who did not take a car to work were more likely to have a lower BMI.
