According to Star2, the products range from makeup, skincare to halal nail polish and eyelashes.

“The growth of the global halal market has grown exponentially over the recent years, offering quality and creative products. We are excited to be a Malaysian initiative that is part of this expanding industry and to be bringing attention to our amazing local products,” said Tunku Kaiyisah.

Ozeir added that “their task is not only providing a platform for well-known brands but also encouraging rising brands to continue developing the best product for consumers worldwide.”

“We look forward to nurturing these brands with market feedback and consumer input in creating the best in beauty and skincare. Through we also want to show a relevant and modern side to halal beauty that embraces all types of women and aesthetics,” Ozeir said.

According to the two founders the attraction of halal beauty products is beyond Muslim beauty fans as it can also appeal to those who are looking for a healthy, holistic and all-natural lifestyle.

They explain that “halal” translates to “permissible” in Arabic and refers to the actions in daily life as well as certain items (food and non-food) that are free of animal by-products and harmful ingredients such as alcohol and are cruelty-free.

In addition, the rise of beauty products with organic, plant-based and cruelty-free elements indicates that there is a high awareness among consumers who want information about the content of a used item and halal products are the best option for them.
