Rihanna, the queen of music, the world, and now makeup, has officially launched her first makeup line, Fenty Beauty. The line was first teased out at the FentyxPuma by Rihanna spring/summer show and two years later, it arrives in the beauty industry.
Fenty Beauty is meant to fill in a gap that Rihanna saw after years of using some of the best makeup in the business and finding that it came up short for some skin tones and skin types. She wanted to create a line so that women everywhere would be included.
The range includes 40 different shades of foundation and 10 highlighters. The ‘Gloss Bomb’ lipgloss comes in one universally flattering shade of rose gold. The products are relatively affordable.
As stated in Independent, the Fenty Beauty collection also includes brushes, a sponge and a compact mirror.
Fans have particularly praised the racial diversity in the Fenty Beauty marketing campaign, as well as the wide range of skin tones on offer in the foundation collection.
Championing diversity above all else, Fenty Beauty’s ambassadors include south Sudanese model Duckie Thot, Chinese 21-year-old Huan Zhou and British model Leomie Anderson.
The line targets women of all skin tones, claiming that women everywhere would be included in the brand, who have developed 40 different kinds of foundation and more than 20 correcting “match stix” concealers.
The products have been praised by beauty experts for their slick magnetic packaging and wide-ranging shades.
For Rihanna’s fans in Malaysia, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna beauty collection is now available at selected Sephora boutiques including Suria KLCC, Starhill Gallery and more. You can also shop it online at www.sephora.my.
